Peacefully, at Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday March 24, 2021, a lifelong resident of Paris, in his 58th year. Grant was a former employee of Southern Pride Poultry and was a member of the Paris Legion. Beloved son to Grace MacRae and the late Joey MacRae (2015); loved brother Heather Shannon (Rick), and Brad (Diane); dear uncle to Darcy, Brooke, Darryl, Meaghen, and the late Ashley; and great uncle to Kya, Ty, and Dax. James Sherman “Jim” Ayres.
Peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Thursday, March 18, 2021 Jim passed away in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Tessie. Loving father of Darin and his wife Chris and Duane and his wife Susanne. Jim was a very special grandpa to James (Angie), Shelley, Hudson and Nolan. Great-grandfather to Mason. He will be missed by his brother Keith and sisters Glenda and Chris. Predeceased by his sisters Gwen and Pat. Jim served his country in the Royal Canadian Navy based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia and was proud to be recognized as a veteran. He excelled at numerous sports over his years and truly loved every minute he spent on the Trent Canal fishing. He was a hard worker who lived an honest life. He will be dearly missed by extended family, many friends and former colleagues. Our family would like to thank the staff at the Brantford General Hospital who were wonderful and went above and beyond to take care of our father and husband. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home Ltd. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent restrictions on gathering a Private Family Funeral Service will be held. At Brantford General Hospital on Saturday March 7, 2020, William E. Little of Paris passed away in his 93rd year; loving husband of the late Irene (nee Gordon) and the late Rita (nee Fahey); loved father of Tom (Judy) Little of Fernie, B.C., Patricia (David) Gormley of Guelph, and the late Michael (Janice); Stepfather of Lorrie (Rick) of Ajax, Todd (Melissa) and Tim all of Surrey, B.C.; loved grandpa of Geoff, Jennifer, Mathew, Joshua, Jason and Patrick; great grandfather of Maeve and Abigail and Adlynn; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill was a retired member of the Canadian Forces, and served with the Princess Patricia’s in Korea. He was also a retiree of Sheridan College, Oakville and was a member and Past President of Branch 29 Royal Canadian Legion. He was a serving member of the Brant City Starfighter Squadron, Brantford. In his retirement he spent many a day in his favourite spot fishing and canoeing in Algonquin Park as well as enjoying the company of his dogs and cats.

A Mass will be held at Sacred Heart RC Church, 17 Washington St., Paris, on Monday March 16, at 11 am with Father Joseph Okoko celebrant.
