MacRAE, Donald “Joey J.” – At Brantford General Hospital, on Thursday, March 5, 2015, a longtime resident of Paris, in his 84th year. Joey was very active with Demolition Derbys all over Ontario. He was very active with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #29, and played baseball for the 29’ers. He enjoyed having a good time everywhere he went. Beloved dad to Heather Shannon (Rick), Brad (Diane), and Grant (Tracey); cherished grandpa to Darcy, Brooke, and Darryl; and great- grandpa to Kya and Ty; dear friend to Melva Taylor. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; Clarence and Sarah, brothers; Roddie and Roy and sisters; Hazel Robertson and Joyce Hough, and granddaughter Ashley Shannon.
WHITE, William “Bill” (Majik) – Passed away peacefully in his 74th year, surrounded by the love of his family at the Stedman Hospice, Hankinson House on November 5, 2014. Cherished husband and best friend of Elspeth White. Loving father of Euan White and Fiona Bell and her husband Gary. Beloved grandfather of Cecilia, Michael and Andrew Bell. Survived by his sister Ruth Wood and her husband Charles. Bill will be dearly missed by his extended family, many dear friends and former co-workers. Bill has been a proud member of the Int’l Boilermakers Union, Local 128 since 1966. Longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 29, Paris. Friends will be welcomed at the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, on Sunday November 9th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday November 10th, 2014 at 2 p.m. Legion Service, under the auspices of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #29, Paris, will precede the Memorial Service. CROOME, Morris George – Quietly, at home, after a lengthy illness on Thursday June 19, 2014, in his 85th year. Morris leaves to mourn his loving wife of 61 years, Bernice (nee. Spychaj). He was the loving son of the late George Croome and Annie Williamson. Morris will be sadly missed by his son Tom (Deb). He was predeceased by his daughter Sherry Kuetemann (2013) (Rolf). Morris is survived by his grandchildren: Jason (Tracey), Joel (Tammie), Jonathon (Shauna) and Joshua Kuetemann, Tammy, Scott (Nicole) and Sean Croome (Chrissy). Beloved Poppy to his great-grandchildren: Paige Kuetemann, Zoey Liverance, Joshua and Avery Kuetemann and Kyla and Maya Croome. Predeceased by his great-grandson, Alexander Kuetemann. Sadly missed by his sisters: Shirley Waring (Bob), Evelyn Harold (and the late Vince), brother Jim Croome (June). Predeceased by his brothers Bill (Marilyn) and Allan (Barb). Morris was a life-long resident of Paris and retired from WABCO Industries. He was a volunteer firefighter in Paris for many years, a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 in Paris and a member of St. John’s Lodge A.F. & A.M. # 82. Morris will be remembered as a generous volunteer for several organizations, namely the Canadian Cancer Society as a driver, Christmas Hampers and the blood donor clinic. His Sunday mornings were spent participating in the Oldtimers slow pitch games with his friends.
